How to Schedule Group Appointments/Classes

With Group Appointments/Classes, you can efficiently deliver group training to clients. Clients will love the affordability, community, and accountability of training as a team. 

In this article, you will learn how to schedule a group appointment or group class for your clients! 

Note: Before you can schedule a class, the owner/admin of the account must first create the event type in the Account Settings. (If you haven't done so yet- check out the article below!)

    • Create an event Type by clicking the Settings tab > Event Types tab.
      
      

How to Schedule a Group Appointment/Class:

Step 1: Go to the Calendar tab > then the Schedule tab and select the day you want to schedule a group appointment or class. 

Step 2: Select the class type from the dropdown list of group event types you've created, input the date and time, select the trainer, and add any clients you want to schedule the class. Hit Add to schedule. 

Group Appointments/Classes are limited to a maximum 50 people (49 clients and one trainer).

After scheduling a group glass, you can go back and click on the event to view, edit or delete it. 

Please note: If self-booking booking has been enabled for the appointment type, clients can self-book in with any scheduled Group Appointment/Class hosted by any trainer on the account. In contrast, for 1:1 appointments types, clients can only self-book in with their assigned trainer. Read more about self booking, here.

Here is What it Looks Like for Clients:

Clients will be able to view classes through their Dash under "Things to do today" on both desktop and mobile.

Allowing for Client Self-booking for Group Classes/Appointments:

Time Zones and Appointments

When scheduling appointments, it is important to consider the time zones of both you and your clients. Here is how timezones work when scheduling appointments:

On the Web:

• When you schedule an appointment for a client using the Trainerize web platform, the appointment time will appear based on your browser's time zone.

On Mobile:

• When scheduling an appointment using the Trainerize mobile app, the appointment time is based on your device's time zone.

For Clients:

• Clients will see appointments on their end based on their own device's time zone.

The same logic relates to clients who self-book appointments/classes. Clients will view trainer availability and appointment time slots in their local device time zone.
