When creating a new workout, you have the option to choose from 4 different workout types:
- Regular
- Circuit
- Interval
- Video
Regular Workout
A Regular Workout is best for traditional strength training, where clients complete a structured sequence with sets and reps. An example of a Regular Workout could be an upper body press workout, where the client performs 3 sets of bench presses, wide grip pull ups, and bicep curls.
How to build a Regular Workout:
- Add exercises to the workout by dragging and dropping from the workout builder.
- Specify the number of sets, reps, and target weight.
- Optionally group exercises into supersets or circuit rounds.
- Hit Save when you are done!

Circuit Workout
A Circuit Workout groups exercises into rounds that repeat. An example of a Circuit Workout could be an upper body ciruit, where the client performs 3 rounds of bench presses, lat pull downs and a 3 minute bike ride. The client would perform each exercise for a specified number of sets and reps, and then repeat it.
How to build a Circuit Workout:
- Add exercises to the workout by dragging and dropping from the workout builder.
- Specify the number of sets, reps, and target weight.
- Set the number of rounds.
- Hit Save when you are done!

Interval Workout
An Interval Workout allows you to build around timed intervals. Each exercise runs on a countdown, with optional rest periods in between. An example of an Interval Workout could be a timed warm up or mobility flow, HIIT, tabata or metabolic conditioning workout.
Key features of Interval Workouts:
- Voice-over cues announce exercise names, time remaining, and motivational prompts, allowing clients to follow-along hands free with audio guidance.
- Exercises tagged as unilateral, ipsilateral and contralateral will be split into left and right exercises when building and completing an interval workout.
- Clients and trainers can track total reps for each exercises completed once the workout has finished.
- Total estimated workout duration is visible when building an Interval Workout.

Video Workout
Video Workouts let you deliver a full-length workout or class directly thorugh the app. An example of a Video Workout could be a fitness class, Tabata workout, yoga session, or HIIT workout. Clients can follow along by seeing you and your instructions simultaneously.
Key features of Video Workouts:
- Requires the Video Coaching add-on which uses video streaming credits.
- Video duration can be up to 60 minutes long (.mp4 or .MOV files only).
- Video workouts can only be uploaded and created from the Shared Master Workout library. Once created, the workout can be added to a Master Program or Clients program. For more details, visit: Why Can't I Upload Video Workouts to My Personal Folder?
