The ABC Trainerize mobile app supports five different wearable integrations: Apple Watch, Fitbit, Google Health, Garmin, and Withings.
The syncing flow of workouts and cardio activities performed on the wearable to ABC Trainerize differs for clients using Apple Watches and other wearables (Fitbit, Garmin, Google Health, and Withings). Whereas both workouts and cardio activities can be tracked and synced from Apple Watch, only cardio activities will sync back to ABC Trainerize for Fitbit, Withings, Garmin, and Google Health Connect.
Tracking a Workout/Cardio Activity on Apple Watch
The Apple Health/Watch integration allows workouts and cardio activities to be tracked directly on the Apple Watch. Clients will use the ABC Trainerize app on their Apple Watch to start and complete their workout or cardio activity from the watch itself. Clients will enter into companion mode and be able to view progress and data directly from the Trainerize Apple Watch app.
For more information on how clients can connect and sync their Apple Watch/Healthkit, please refer to:
- How Can Clients Sync Apple Health Data to ABC Trainerize?
- Tracking Workouts and Cardio Activities on the ABC Trainerize Apple Watch App
Sync Details:
- Workouts and cardio activities tracked from the ABC Trainerize Apple Watch app are automatically tracked and added to the client's calendar.
- This allows pre-scheduled workouts or cardio activities to be tracked directly on the watch.
Important note:
This workflow only applies if clients use the ABC Trainerize Apple Watch app to track specifically. Workouts or cardio activities tracked using the default Apple Watch workout app or other watch fitness apps will not sync back to ABC Trainerize. Tracking a Workout/Cardio Activity on Garmin
Clients using the Garmin integration can easily track and sync cardio activities completed on the Garmin Watch to their ABC Trainerize account. Unlike the Apple Watch integration, there is no dedicated ABC Trainerize app on Garmin wearables. As such, clients will track cardio activities from their Garmin watch, and the integration will allow those events to sync back to the Trainerize app as a separate/new activity.
