The Flexible Meal Planner, available with Advanced Nutrition Coaching, now gives you the option to let clients create and manage their own meal plans.
When enabled, clients can build and update their Flexible Meal Plan directly from the ABC Trainerize mobile app using the existing meal and recipe library. You’ll still have full visibility into their plan and can make changes at any time.
This setting is managed individually for each client and is turned off by default, so you can choose when self-serve meal planning is right for each client.
Note: Your client must be using the Flexible Meal Planner before you can give them permission to manage their plan. Learn how to set up a Flexible Meal Plan here: Flexible Meal Planner.
How to let a client manage their Flexible Meal Plan
-
From the Overview page, navigate to the Client's profile, and select the Meal Plan tab.
- On the Meal Plan tab > Toggle Client can manage meal plan to ON.
- Select the yellow Confirm button.
-
Once enabled, your client can use the ABC Trainerize mobile app to:
- Create their own Flexible Meal Plan.
- Add meals using the existing meal and recipe library.
- Edit their Flexible Meal Plan.
- Publish changes to their plan.
Note: Clients cannot change their own calorie or macro goals. These targets remain under your control.
As a trainer, you will also continue to be able to view and edit your client's Flexible Meal Plan as needed.
How to turn off client access to the self-serve meal plan editor
You can remove this permission at any time:
- From the Overview page, navigate to the Client's profile, and select the Meal Plan tab.
- Toggle Client can manage meal plan to OFF.
- Select the yellow Confirm button.
-
Once the self-serve meal plan editor has been turned off:
- Your client will no longer be able to create or edit their Flexible Meal Plan.
- They will still be able to access and follow their existing Flexible Meal Plan as usual.
