The Business Dashboard gives Account Owners a centralized view of business performance, including client growth, product sales, referral sources, client churn, and revenue.
The dashboard is available to accounts with the Business Add-on and accounts on a Studio plan. Use it to review key business metrics and adjust the reporting period for individual widgets.
Note: The Business Dashboard is currently available as an early access feature.
Before You Begin
Before accessing the Business Dashboard, make sure:
- You are logged in as the Account Owner. Other team members such as Admins, Managers, Shared Trainers or Regular Trainers do not have access to the Business Dashboard.
- Your account has the Business Add-on or is on a Studio plan.
- Stripe is connected if you want to view the Net Revenue and Gross Revenue widgets.
How to Access the Business Dashboard
To access the Business Dashboard:
- Log in to your ABC Trainerize web account.
- From the left-hand menu, select Business.
- Select Dashboard.
The dashboard displays your business data in a series of widgets.
If the dashboard appears locked or blurred, you will need to select Purchase Add-on to purchase the Business Add-on and unlock access. To learn more about the features included with the Business Add-on, see Getting Started with the Business Add-on.
How to Change a Widget’s Reporting Period
Dashboard widgets allow you to change the period used to display data.
To change the reporting period:
- Select the current date range in the upper-right corner of the widget.
- Choose one of the following options:
- MTD: Month to date
- YTD: Year to date
- 1M: Past month
- 3M: Past three months
- 1Y: Past year
- Custom: Select a custom date range
The selected reporting period applies only to that widget. Dashboard dates are based on your local timezone.
Note: The "New Clients, Prospects, and Trials widget" and "Client Churn" uses a fixed reporting period of Past Month and does not have a date selector.
Understanding the Business Dashboard Widgets
Products Sold:
This widget shows the total number of products sold during the selected period.
Products are grouped by type:
- Main products
- Trial products
- Add-ons
- Session packs
Hover over a product-type section to view the number of products sold and the names of the products included in that category.
New Clients, Prospects and Trials:
This widget shows the number of new people added to your business during the past month, including:
- New coaching clients
- New trials
- New prospects
This widget uses a fixed Past Month reporting period and cannot be changed.
Top 5 Products Sold:
This widget ranks up to five individual products based on the number sold during the selected period. Unlike the Products Sold widget, which groups sales by product type, this widget shows the specific products purchased most often.
Change the reporting period to compare your top-selling products across different date ranges.
To learn more about creating and selling products, see How to Sell Products to Clients.
Top 5 Referral Sources:
This widget shows where new prospects and referred clients came from during the selected period.
Referral sources may include:
- An individual client who referred someone
- Trainerize.me
- Other recorded sources
Referral sources can be recorded when adding or updating a prospect. Referrals created through the Client Referrals feature may also be linked automatically. To learn more, see How to Manually Add Prospects and How to Use Client Referrals to Grow Your Business.
Client Churn:
This widget shows the number of clients who were no longer active during the past month.
A client is included when:
- Their access is reduced to Basic.
- Their account is Deactivated.
- Their account is Deleted.
This widget uses a fixed Past Month reporting period and cannot be changed.
Note: The Client Churn widget reports recorded account and access changes. It does not predict which clients may churn in the future.
Net Revenue:
This widget shows net revenue from payments processed through Stripe during the selected period.
If Stripe is not connected, select Set up Stripe from the widget to begin the setup process. For Stripe setup instructions, see Step 1: Initial Setup.
Gross Revenue:
This widget shows your gross revenue from payments processed through Stripe during the selected period.
If Stripe is not connected, select Set up Stripe in the widget to connect your payments account. For Stripe setup instructions, see Step 1: Initial Setup.
Why Is a Widget Empty?
Widgets only display information when the required business activity or setup has been completed. A new Business Add-on or Studio account may display empty widgets until enough business activity has been recorded.
A widget may be empty for the following reasons:
- Products Sold: No products have been sold during the selected period. Select the option to add a product and begin setting up products and Stripe.
- New Clients, Prospects and Trials: No clients, prospects, or trials have been added during the selected period. Select the option to add a client.
- Top 5 Products Sold: No product subscriptions have been created during the selected period. Sell at least one product during the selected period.
- Top 5 Referral Sources: No referral sources have been recorded for new prospects or clients. Record a referral source when adding or updating a prospect or client.
- Client Churn: No client access or account changes have been recorded during the selected period. A client must have a recorded access or account-status change during the past month.
- Net Revenue and Gross Revenue: Stripe is not connected, or no Stripe payments were processed during the selected period. Connect Stripe and process payments through Stripe.
