Referrals are one of the most effective ways to grow your business. Included with the Business Add-on, Client Referrals allow your existing clients to refer friends right from their mobile app using a customized banner, message and shareable link.
In this article, you will learn how to set up Client Referrals and what the referral experience looks like for your clients.
How to Enable Client Referrals

From the ABC Trainerize web account, navigate to Business > Client Referrals in the left-hand menu.
- On the Referrals Configuration page, you will see a preview of how the referral banner will appear in your clients' mobile app.
- Click Setup to customize your referral banner and invitation message.
Customizing the Referral Banner
Under Customize Banner, set up how the referral banner will appear on the client mobile app dashboard.
- Select an image for the banner. You can choose an image from the image library or upload your own.
- Enter the main content for your banner. This is the message title clients will see on the referral banner.
- Enter the button text. This is the call-to-action button clients will tap to share the referral.
Customize the Referral Invitation
Under Referral Invitation, set up the message and link your clients will share with their friends.

Customize your referral message that will be included when clients share the referral. The clients first and last name are automatically added to the beginning of the message.

Set up the link to share by choosing where referred clients should be directed:
Custom Link: Directs to a custom URL, such as a booking page or website.
Prospect Booking: Directs to a Prospect Booking link already set up in your account. The drop-down will populate existing Prospect booking links, indicating in-person, phone call, or virtual appointment types. The 'Active' tag indicates that the booking type has been enabled by the Account Owner.
Product: Directs to a Product link with the option to add a discount code. Discount codes cannot be added to Trial Products.Note: Prospect Booking links and Trial Products are also included exclusively with the Business Add-On.

Click Publish to activate the referral banner.
Once your Referral Banner is live, you can see a preview of what the banner will look like in the app under the Referrals Configuration screen as shown below. To edit the banner, select the Edit icon. To remove the banner, select Unpublish.
How Clients Can Share Your Referral Link
Once your Referral Banner is published, clients will see the banner on their mobile app dashboard.
When a client taps the banner, they can share your referral message and link using their preferred messaging apps, like SMS or WhatsApp.
This makes it easy to clients to invite friends and help your business capture new leads through referrals.
