What is the Difference Between Custom Exercise Videos and Workout Videos?

At ABC Trainerize, we provide two features on the platform that allow you to upload your very own video content: (Custom) Exercise Videos and Video Workouts. Let's explore these two different video options and how they can be leveraged to enhance your client's training experience:

Custom Exercise Videos (Free)

Custom exercise videos are instructional demonstrations for specific exercises in your Exercise library. All paid accounts can upload custom exercise videos, while free plans are limited to one upload.

There are two types of custom exercise videos that you can create: Trainerize Video Drive exercise videos and Youtube exercise videos.

Trainerize Video Drive Exercise Videos

  • Duration: Up to 5 minutes long
  • File size limit: 500MB 
  • Upload requirements: .mov or .mp4
  • Video orientation: Landscape or portrait 
  • Cost: Included in 30-day free trial and paid plans (limited to one upload only for free plans) 

Youtube-Linked Exercise Videos

  • Duration: No time limit
  • Youtube video support: Standard video and Youtube shorts
  • Cost: Included in 30-day free trial, free plans and paid plans

Video Workouts

Video workouts are part of the paid Video Coaching Add-on. Video workouts are ideal for delivering full workout classes or longer instructional videos, allowing clients to follow along with your instructions in real-time.

  • Duration: Up to 60 minutes long
  • File Size Limit: 5GB
  • Upload requirements: .mov or .mp4 
  • Video orientation: Landscape or portrait
  • Cost: Available through the Video Coaching Add-on
