Interval Workouts are great for building time-based routines like HIIT, Tabata, or dynamic warm-ups. They guide your clients through a seamless workout experience with auto-playing videos, countdown timers, and voice cues, allowing clients to complete their workouts hands-free.
To create an Interval Workout:
1. Navigate to the Master Workout library from your ABC Trainerize web account. Select the blue New button.
2. In the pop-up dialogue, add a name to your workout, select Interval, and click Start Building.
3. Use drag and drop to move exercises from the right pane into your workout list.
- Exercises tagged as unilateral, ipsilateral, and contralateral will be split into left and right exercises within your interval workout.
- Set the duration of each exercise and target (optional).
4. Add any instructions to your workout as needed and click Save at the top right corner.
What Will Clients See When Completing an Interval Workout?
When a client performs an Interval Workout, their screen will:
- Display each exercise one after another with a looping exercise video.
- Show a countdown timer indicating the transition to the next exercise.
- Automatically transition to the next movement.
Please note that YouTube exercise videos will not auto-play or loop. Clients can pause the workout to click play and view the video if needed. Only exercises from the Trainerize exercise library and custom exercise videos will auto-play and loop during each interval.
Interval Workouts also include built-in voice cues that announce the upcoming exercise and voice-overs to accompany the exercise to motivate the client.
Clients can pause the workout at any time if needed. At the end of the workout, a summary screen appears, allowing clients to track their reps before completing.
