ABC Trainerize allows you to customize client access and permissions based on client type. This allows trainers to manage their client effectively while ensuring they only have access to relevant features.
Not sure what each client type includes? Check out our guide: What are Client Types?
How to Adjust Client Permissions
Each client type- full access (2-way and 1-way), basic, and offline- has specific access levels. You can customize certain permissions by adjusting settings within your account.
1. Navigate to Settings > Permissions on your ABC Trainerize web account.
2. Under the Client Types and Permissions table, you will see the four client types listed across the page and different permission categories on the left:
- Booking and paying (Fixed)
- Workouts, Nutrition & Habits (Fixed)
- Messaging (Fixed)
- Mobile app layout (Customizable)
-
Meal tracker (Customizable)
Customizing the Mobile App Layout
When clients log into the mobile app, they land of their Dashboard tab, which includes a "My Progress" section with various tiles. As a business owner, you can customize this layout to control what clients see- such as hiding body weight or caloric intake if it's not relevant to your coaching style.
To adjust the mobile app layout:
- Click view under the relevant client type (Full Access 2-way or 1-way)
- You'll be directed to Add-ons > Custom App Layout to make edits.
Learn more about customizing the app layout here: How to Configure My Progress Tiles on the Client Dashboard.
Customizing the Default Meal Tracker
ABC Trainerize supports four meal-tracking methods:
- In-app tracking: Meal Photos and Full Meal Tracking.
- Third-party integrations: Fitbit or MyFitnessPal.
You can pre-select a meal tracker type for new clients so that its automatically set to this meal tracker when a new client is added. Not that offline clients do not have access to meal tracking.
When selecting a default meal tracker, you will b asked if the change should apply to new clients only or all existing and new clients.
