What is a Trial Product?
- A Trial Product is type of free product that you can create as apart of the business add-on.
- Trial Products are a great way to offer prospective clients a sample or Free trial of your services without having them take up an active coaching seat.
- Engaging with prospective clients through trials has a proven track record of improving conversion rates.
- Trial products allow you to engage with your prospects more seamlessly than ever.

How to Create a Trial Product
Note: Before you can create a Trial Product you must have payments configured/live. (Learn more)
- From the overview page, navigate to the Payments tab > Select Products from the secondary column menu >

Click the blue + Add button to start building your Trial Product >
- This will bring up a pop-up where you can create your free trial product >
- Set the product type to Trial >
- Enter the name and description for your trial product >
- Set the product duration (how long you would like the trial to last) >
- To include sessions in your trial product:
- Click +Add Session > Select the Event Type (PT session, class, etc.) > Enter the Number of sessions > Set the Expiry date for the session(s) >
- Click +Add Session > Select the Event Type (PT session, class, etc.) > Enter the Number of sessions > Set the Expiry date for the session(s) >
- Toggle the option to feature the trial product on your Trainerize.me page to ON or OFF >
- Set up product Automations by hitting the SET UP AUTOMATION Button >
Select the actions that you would like to happen automatically from the moment a client signs up for your free trial:

Product Start Automation:
- Select actions from the menu options to trigger as soon as a client signs up for the free trial:

Product End Automation:
- Clients will automatically be downgraded to basic once the free trial product comes to an end.
- Note: Basic clients do not take up active client seats.

Once you have set up automation for your trial product, hit the blue SAVE button > Hit the blue ADD button to create your product >
How can prospective clients sign up for a trial on tz.me?

If you have toggled the option to ON in the product settings > Your trial product will be visible on your Trainerize.me page (a new button featuring your trial product(s) will also appear):
- Once a client clicks "sign up" they will be prompted to in-put their information and complete their sign up on the checkout page >

Share a direct link to a trial product with prospective clients

Navigate to the Products Tab > Select the Payments tab from the secondary menu >

Click the Chain icon next to the trial product you would like to share > Select Copy Product link OR Copy Checkout link
- Next, share or embed a direct link to your trial product in the places where you connect with your prospective clients most:
- Link your trial product with Client Referrals so your existing clients can recommend you to their friends and family!
- Feature your trial product on a banner and send push notifications with the announcements feature!
- Embed your trial product link on in your bio on social media.
- Use the links in paid advertising campaigns to catch the eye of potential clients (like in a Facebook Carousel ad).
- Send the link to your trial product directly to prospective clients in their DMs!
- Link your trial product with Client Referrals so your existing clients can recommend you to their friends and family!
- Once a client clicks "sign up" they will be prompted to in-put their information and complete their sign up on the checkout page >

Where to view trial clients
Trial clients will appear in your general client list via the client's tab:

On the Web:
- Navigate to the Client tab to view all clients > Trial clients will be visibly tagged with a "trial" sticker
- To view trial clients only, filter your client list by hitting the blue ADD FILTER button > Hover over the By Client Type option > Select Trial Client from the filter menu >

Once applied, your view will only include trial clients:
- Navigate to the Client tab to view all clients > Trial clients will be visibly tagged with a "trial" sticker

On Mobile:
- Navigate to the Clients tab to view all clients > Trial clients will be visibly tagged with a "trial" sticker
- To view trial clients only, tap the filtering options > Select filter by Client Type > Select Trial Client from the menu options > Hit Add
- Navigate to the Clients tab to view all clients > Trial clients will be visibly tagged with a "trial" sticker

Upgrading clients who have completed their trial
- Clients can be manually upgraded to a coaching or other client type via the client grid. If you manually change a trial client to another client type this will immediately end their trial.
- If a trial client decides to buy a product on their own or is sold a main/add-on product during their trial period– their trial will run its course before the start of their next product.
Once the new product starts, they will be converted to a coaching or other client type based on the product automation settings of the product purchased.
Will trial products appear in my invoices/sales history?
- Yes! All of the client information related to your trial products will appear under payments in the invoices, transactions and sales tabs just as they do for other Products.

You can also view an individual client's specific transaction/signup information via their client card on the Sales and Invoices tabs.
