Milestone badges help celebrate your clients progress as they complete workouts and cardio activities in ABC Trainerize. These badges are automatically earned when clients reach specific milestones, helping keep them motivated, engaged, and on track toward their goals!
As clients complete more workouts or log more cardio activity, they can unlock new badges that appear throughout the app.
How Clients Earn Milestone Badges
Clients earn milestone badges my completing workouts or logging cardio activities that meet specific milestone thresholds:
Workout Milestones
Clients earn workout milestone badges based on the total number of completed workouts.
Workout badges are awarded at the following intervals:
- Every 5 workouts up to 25
- Every 25 workouts up to 100
- Every 50 workouts up to 500
- Every 100 workouts up to 1000
- Every 200 workouts up to 2000
- Every 500 workouts up to 2000
Cardio Activity Milestones
Cardio activity milestones are based on either time or distance, depending on the activity type.
Time-Based Milestones:
Time-based milestones are calculated in hours. Examples of time-based milestones include:
5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1,000, 1,200, 1,400, 1,600, 1,800, 2,000, 2,500, 3,000 hours, and beyond.
Time-based milestones apply to non-performance cardio activities, such as:
- Stair climbing
- General cardio
- Other cardio activities that are not measured by distance
Note: Activities that use distance-based milestones do not also use time-based milestones. Although Apple Watch can track time for all cardio activities, an activity cannot have both time and distance milestones.
Distance-Based Milestones:
Distance-based milestones are calculated in kilometres or miles, depending on the activity and unit settings. Examples of distance-based milestones include:
10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, 5,000 km or mi, and beyond.
Distance-based milestones apply to cardio activities such as:
- Running
- Walking
- Cycling
- Elliptical
- Rowing
- Special case for rowing: Uses only meters or kilometers as unit measurements, with milestones starting at 10km instead of 10 mi.
Apple Watch note: When tracking on the Apple Watch, distance tracking is only available for running, walking, and cycling. This means elliptical and rowing milestones cannot be triggered from the Apple Watch.
Where to View Client Achievements
On your ABC Trainerize web account, milestone badges your clients have unlocked are displayed on their profile under Badges Earned, which is divided into the following sections:
- Goals & habits

You can also find badges within a client's timeline, notification area, and dashboard.
On the mobile app, trainers and clients can view the badge board from their dashboard under Recent Accomplishments or via the client's profile under Recently Earned Badges:
Understanding Lifetime Badges
Lifetime badges show a client’s long-term progress for a specific activity.
Each lifetime badge displays two numbers:
- Smaller number: Represents the total number of milestones achieved for that activity.
- Larger number: Represents the current milestone achieved.
As an example, a badge with a 20 (large number) and a 2 (small number) indicates that the client has earned the walking badges for 10-mile and 20-mile milestones. When the client achieves the next milestone at 30 miles, the badge will update to show a 30 (large number) and a 3 (small number), indicating they've reached three total milestones for walking.
Group Notifications for Milestone Badhes
Milestone badges can also appear in groups as auto-posted messages.
These group notifications can help encourage engagement, celebrate progress, and support friendly competition between clients. They can also be used as inspiration when planning group challenges.
