We understand that a client's fitness journey isn't always linear. Whether a client is joining a training program midway through or returning after a brief pause, it's essential to seamlessly integrate them back into their training regime.

Starting A Client Midway Through A New Master Program
If a client is joining a new Master Program after its original start date, you can easily adjust their program start date to align with their current training phase.
Follow these steps on your ABC Trainerize web account to make the necessary adjustments:
- Navigate to the Master Program library
- Select the Summary and Subscribers tab
- Click on Add Subscribers and type in the name of the client
- When selecting a start date, enter the past date when the client would have started. For example, if you would like the client to join the program 2 weeks in, select a start date of 2 weeks in the past
- Lastly, choose whether this program will be the client's Main Program or Add-on Program
Adjusting the Start Date for an Already Subscribed Master Program
If the client is already subscribed to a Master Program, the start date can easily be adjusted without the need to unsubscribe and resubscribe the client. This is done from the client's training phase section on their profile directly.
Follow these steps on your ABC Trainerize web account to make the necessary adjustments:
- Navigate to the Training Program section within the Client's account
- Select the three-dot icon next to the Master Program name
- Select Change Start Date and choose the appropriate day in the calendar to backdate the start of the program
Adjusting Training Phase Dates for a Client's Custom Program
Custom programs offer the flexibility to tailor and adapt training phases to suit each client's unique journey. This means you can easily adjust the duration of training phases based on the client's start date. This method also simplifies the process of pausing and resuming a client's program when needed.
Follow these steps on your ABC Trainerize web account to make the necessary adjustments:
- Navigate to the Training Program section within the Client's account
- Under the Clients Program, select the three-dot icon next to the training phase
- Select Change Duration
Depending on the scenario, you can:
- Change the start date of the client's program by adjusting the first training phase duration
- Add a 'time off' phase within the client's program
- Add or remove training phases
- End the client's program early by adjusting the last training phase duration
Below is an example of how you can add time off within a client's program. This was achieved by shortening the duration of the first training phase and resuming the second training phase after the time off period. The time-off phase is automatically added when there is a gap in time on client programs:
Note: Time off periods cannot be added to Master Programs, only Client Programs.
Converting a Client to a Custom Program
Since 'Time Off' phases can only be added to a client's program (and not a Master Program), you can easily convert a client's Master Program to a Custom Program to be able to add a time off period. To do so, follow the steps outlined in the article What is the difference between subscribing and copying a program to a client?
It's important to remember that converting your client to a custom program means that any changes made to the original Master Program will no longer impact the client. Instead, modifications must be made directly within the client's program.
Once converted to a custom program, you can follow the steps outlined in the article above to pause or adjust your client's program.
