If you are not receiving notifications from Trainerize on your device, follow these steps to ensure your notification settings are correctly configured. We will walk you through both in-app and phone settings to help resolve the issue.
1. Check Notifications in the ABC Trainerize App
To make sure you are receiving notifications for the correct events, open up the ABC Trainerize app and navigate to the More tab from the bottom menu. Select Notifications. You will see a list of all notification types. Toggle any notifications from Off to On by tapping the one you want to enable.
2. Check Your Phone's Notification Settings
For Android:
You may have your Android device's notification settings turned off. To change this, open your phone's Settings and navigate to General > Apps. Find and select the ABC Trainerize fitness app and tap on the Notifications section, where you can toggle notifications on and off.
Samsung users have reported that notifications do not come through due to their devices' default deep sleep settings. This stops notification permission from apps to save battery. Check the deep sleep setting on your device and ensure that the ABC Trainerize fitness app (or your Custom Branded App) is listed under the "Never Sleeping Apps" as shown in this Samsung article.
IPHONE:
You may have your iOS device's notification settings turned off. Navigate to the iOS Settings app and scroll down to the Fitness app. Select Notifications and ensure that Allow Notifications is toggled on.
3. Test push notifications from your Trainerize app.
Once you have checked the settings above, you can test if your notifications work properly. To do so, open the ABC Trainerize app and navigate to More > Notifications > Test Notification System. You should receive a push notification telling you "It's working!"
4. Reinstall the App
If you are still experiencing trouble receiving push notifications, we recommend deleting and reinstalling the ABC Trainerize app. This ensures you have the latest version of the app and that your device is properly registered for push notifications.
