I got an email from Apple for my Custom Branded App. Do I need to respond?

As the Account Holder for your Apple Developer Account, you will receive important email notifications from Apple. 

 

These are the two important emails you will need to pay attention to from Apple:

  • Apple Membership Expiry and Renewal ($99 every 12 months)
  • Agreeing to Apple Terms (sent periodically)

It is your responsibility will be to keep your account current by paying your annual developer fee and responding to any urgent requests from Apple, such as updates to their terms of service. All other communication (e.g., app notices and rejection emails) will be handled by us directly.

If terms and account fees are not accepted and/or paid your app will not be up to date and is at risk of being removed from the App Store from Apple. 

We recommend logging in to your Developer account on a regular basis to check for any notices. If any urgent issues are pending, you'll see a banner displayed across the top of the screen after logging in.  

 

The following emails require no action as we will take care of them on our side:

*The status of your (iOS) app, [Your App], is now “Waiting for Review” Your app is in a queue waiting to be reviewed by Apple
*The status of your (iOS) app, [Your App], is now “In Review” Your app is currently in review with an Apple Agent
We noticed an issue with your submission

This means Apple requires further information to publish your app. This is usually general information about the app or proof of ownership for your app name, in the form of a DBA (doing business as document).
