The Announcements feature allows you to communicate directly with clients inside the mobile app through Push Notifications and Promotional Banners. This feature is available exclusively with the Business add-on.
What You Can Do With Announcements
Announcements are designed to help you scale communication and increase conversions across your business.
With Announcements, you can:
- Create and send Push Notifications or customizable in-app Promotional Banners.
- Add a call-to-action (CTA) with a redirect URL to guide clients to a webpage or directly to a product.
- Choose which client types (Coaching, Basic, Trial, or all) and locations should receive an announcement.
- Advertise promotions, seasonal offers, and campaigns at scale without the need for external tools.
- Announce schedule changes, upcoming classes, reminders, and more.
How to Create a Push Notification
1. Log in to your ABC Trainerize web account and navigate to the Announcements menu.
2. On the Push Notifications tab, select the blue NEW button.
3. Fill out the Push Notification details:
Title: Add a short, attention-grabbing title.
Schedule: Choose when to send the Push Notification by selecting a specific date and time or scheduling it to send immediately.
- Push notifications are delivered in the client's local time zone.
- If a push notification is scheduled in the past for a client's time zone, they will receive it immediately.
Location: Choose which location will receive the notification.
Client Type: Select which client type this notification will appear for (Coaching, Basic, Trial, or all).
Message: Add the main body content of your notification.
Action: Include an optional redirect link to a webpage or product.
- When redirecting to a product, select it from your product list and clients will be taken directly to the product page when they tap the notification.
- You can also attach an existing discount code to paid products.
4. Once you've filled out your form, hit the blue Schedule button.
Once scheduled, you will see your notifications listed on the Push Notifications tab. This lets you view all sent and upcoming notifications at a glance, so you always know what's going out and when.
Below is an example of what a Push Notification will look like to clients:

4. When you're ready, choose to Save as Draft or Publish.
Once published, you will see all active and draft banners at a glance under the Promotional Banners tab.
Below is an example of what a Promotional Banner will look like to clients:
Promotional Banner Display Rules
Only one active banner can be displayed for the same client type in the same location at a given time.
If you attempt to publish a banner that overlaps with an active active banner (based on client type, location, and date range), an error will appear indicating a conflict. This message will explain that the banner cannot be published because it overlaps with another active banner.
To resolve this, you can:
- Adjust the date range so the banners do not overlap
- Change the client type and/or location of the overlapping banner
- Save the banner as a draft instead of publishing it
You can publish multiple banners as long as they do not overlap in client type and time period within the same location.
