How to generate a JSON file

Note: this is NOT a required step and only to be actioned as instructed by the CBA Team.

As a Studio and Enterprise customer, if you have your own Google Developer account, you will need to generate a JSON file for us. This allows us to build and maintain your app. 

Generating the JSON file

As the account holder, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to Google Cloud Console
  2. Click on Dashboard
  3. On the top left corner, click on the navigation button (three lines)
  4. Scroll down to IAM and Admin, then select Service Accounts Screenshot 2024-03-25 at 12.09.49 PM.png
  5. On the top of the page, click on +CREATE SERVICE ACCOUNT Screenshot 2024-03-25 at 12.12.07 PM.png
  6. In the Service Account Name box, type your app name
  7. Click on the CREATE AND CONTINUE box
  8. Under the Select a Role box, type in Service Account User
  9. Click Continue
  10. Add as the service account user in both boxes
  11. Click on Done
  12. Back on the Service Account page, go to the account you just created, under the Action box, click on the 3 dots
  13. Select Manage Keys
  14. Click on Add Key > Create New Key
  15. Key Type is JSON file, and click on CREATE
  16. The file will appear in your downloads, send this file to the CBA Team
