Clients can now personalize their Apple Watch face with ABC Trainerize complications, tailoring it to their training needs. These complications provide an overview of their progress and quick access to your favorite features. Clients can also choose from preset watch faces for quick and easy setup.
What Are Complications?
Complications add extra information to your watch face beyond the time. For example, a date window or weather display on a traditional watch are forms of complications. On the Apple Watch, Trainerize complications let you customize and simplify your training directly from your wrist!
How to Customize Your Apple Watch Face
Note: You must be running iOS 14 and WatchOS 7 or later to edit complications.
1. Select the More section (three-dot menu icon) at the bottom right of the screen on the mobile app, choose Apple Watch, and then scroll down to the Watch Faces section.
2. Select a preset watch face, and click Add Apple Watch Face.
3. You will be then brought to the Apple Watch app. Tap Add to My Faces and select Modular to view the complications.
4. Tap each complication slot (Top Left, Middle, Bottom Left, Bottom Middle, Bottom Right) to select what you would like displayed. Once done, tap Set as Current Watch Face.

Types of ABC Trainerize Watch Complications
Here are the available complications you can display on your Apple Watch:
- App Launch: provides quick access to the "Quick Start" app screen (except during active workout/cardio tracking)
- Cardio start: Opens the cardio activity picker in the app.
- Things to do: Displays your to-do list to allow you to tap for quick access.
- Nutrition goal: Shows data relayed to your nutrition goals (e.g., calories, protein, carbs, fats, etc). Tap the view the nutrition progress screen.
- Calories in/out: Displays caloric intake and burn. Tapping this complication also leads to the nutrition progress screen.
- Steps: Displays your step count and links to the progress screen.
