Once your Apple Developer Account has been created, processed, and you have added our team as an Admin on your account, the next step is to generate an API key. This key is crucial for us to create, launch, and update your app. Only the Account Holder can generate the API key.
Follow the steps below to create your Apple API key and include it in your submission form.
Steps to Generate Your Apple API Key
1. As the Account Holder, log into the App Store Connect with your business's Apple ID and password.
2. Select Users and Access, and then select the Integrations tab.
3. Select Request Access
4. Click Generate API Key or the Add (+) button.
5. For the name of the key, type your app name.
6. Under Access, select Admin for the role of the key.
7. Click Generate.
8. Copy the Issuer ID and Key ID and then click Download API Key. Note: the API Key can only be downloaded once, so make sure you are prepared. The API Key is in .p8 format.
9. Once the .p8 key is downloaded, ensure you have saved the Issuer ID and Key ID.
Completing the Submission Form
- Enter the Issuer ID and Key ID in the corresponding sections on the submission form provided to you by our team and attach the .p8 API Key file.
- Proceed to completing the submission form with your required app assets and details.
Troubleshooting
Can't Find the API Key?
- If you cannot find the API Key on your desktop or downloads folder, or were unable to download it, repeat the steps above to generate a new one.
Updating your Existing API Key?
- Should you update your existing API Key, you MUST notify ABC Trainerize as we will need the new API Key .p8 file and Key ID to maintain your app.
