The appointment syncing feature allows both trainers and clients to sync upcoming ABC Trainerize appointments to their device’s calendar.

Steps to Sync Appointments to Your Device's Calendar
There are two ways to sync appointments from ABC Trainerize to your device’s calendar on the mobile app.
- Via the initial onboarding screen
- Via Settings
Via the Onboarding Screen (First Login)
When clients and trainers first download and log into the app, they will be prompted to set up calendar syncing:
- Select Calendar.
- Allow access to your device.
- Continue the login process.
Note: If you have no calendars available, the list will be empty.
Via Settings (After Login)
Appointment syncing can also be turned on (or off) under the Settings section in the mobile app:
- Navigate to the More (three-dot icon) tab on the mobile app.
- Under My Settings, select Appointment Sync.
- Allow access to your device.
- Select the email/calendar you would like to sync appointments to.
How to Sync to the Google Calendar App
iOS
To sync to Google Calendar on iOS, you must first have the email set up in your iPhone’s settings:
- Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
- Navigate to Calendar > Accounts.
- Add a new account or select an existing Google account.
- Toggle the calendar section on.
- Next, open the ABC Trainerize mobile app.
- Select the email address in the appointment sync section under the 'More' tab.
- Your appointments will now appear in the iOS calendar and your Google Calendar.
Important note: In order for your appointments to populate for the first time, you will have to navigate to the Calendar tab on the ABC Trainerize mobile app and scroll through the calendar days to pull in all appointments.
Android
Android devices will sync to the default calendar app and Google Calendar. Ensure your Google account is connected to your calendar app.
When setting up the Google Calendar sync on Android, only the main/default Google account email address will appear as an option to choose from in ABC Trainerize. Any subcategories or additional calendars connected to the Google account will not appear as an option to sync.
How to Turn Off Appointment Syncing
Appointment syncing can only be turned on and off from the mobile app:
- Navigate to the More (three-dot icon) tab.
- Under My Settings, select Appointment Sync.
- Select Off.
Turning off syncing will remove Trainerize appointments from your device's calendar, but they will still appear in the ABC Trainerize app.
Will Changes to Appointments Update My Synced Calendar?
Yes, any changes made to appointments in ABC Trainerize will sync to your calendar automatically. However:
- Third-party calendars (Google Calendar, Outlook, etc.) may take a few minutes to update.
- These changes will also update the client’s calendar if they have the feature turned on.

1. Is the integration a two-way sync?
The steps listed in this article are a one-way sync from ABC Trainerize to your synced calendar. After syncing a calendar from your mobile app, only changes made from ABC Trainerize appointments will be updated to your synced calendar. Appointment changes made on your synced calendar will not reflect in Trainerize.

2. If I delete a Trainerize appointment on my phone’s calendar, will it delete the appointment on Trainerize?
No, only deleting the appointment directly from the Trainerize app or website will delete the appointment.
3. If I reschedule a Trainerize appointment on my phone’s calendar, will it update the appointment in the Trainerize app?
No, only rescheduling the appointment in the Trainerize app or website will update the calendar.
4. Can I sync to multiple email calendars?
At this time we only allow syncing to one calendar.
5. Why are my appointments not appearing right away in a third-party calendar?
Third-party calendars like Google Calendar may take a few minutes to fully sync appointments and appointment changes. Ensure you have scrolled through the calendar tab on the Trainerize app when syncing your third-party calendar for the first time. This will pull through appointments from your connected calendar.
