The ABC Trainerize app enhances your ability to deliver personalized workouts and training programs by adding an element of notification: milestone badges. These badges are designed to celebrate your clients progress and keep them on track towards achieving their goals.
These achievements will be unlocked when completing specific milestones in the app. As clients complete more and more workouts, they will unlock a new badge!
How Clients Earn Milestone Badges
Workout Milestones
Badges are awarded for completing workouts with the following frequency:
- Every 5 workouts up to 25
- Every 25 workouts up to 100
- Every 50 workouts up to 500
- Every 100 workouts up to 1000
- Every 200 workouts up to 2000
- Every 500 workouts up to 2000
Cardio Activity Milestones
Time-Based Milestones:
- Calculated in hours (5,10, 15, 20, 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600, 1800, 2000, 2500, 3000…).
- Applied to: Non-performance time-based cardio activities, such as stair climbing and general cardio.
Note: Activities with distance milestones do not also have time milestones. On the Apple Watch, although time can be tracked for all cardio activities, activities cannot have both time and distance milestones.
Distance-based Milestones:
- Calculated in km or miles: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000...).
- Applies to: Distance-based cardio activities such as running, walking, cycling, elliptical, and rowing.
- Special case for rowing: Uses only meters or kilometers as unit measurements, with milestones starting at 10km instead of 10 mi.
Note: On the Apple Watch, distance tracking is only available for running, walking, and cycling (in Watch-only mode). Milestones for elliptical and rowing cannot be triggered from the watch.
Where to View Achievements
On web, the milestone badges your clients have unlocked are displayed on their profile under Badges Earned, which is divided into the following sections:
- Goals & habits

You can also find badges within a client's timeline, notification area, and dashboard.
On mobile, trainers and clients can view the badge board from their dashboard under Recent Accomplishments or via the client's profile under Recently Earned Badges:
Understanding Lifetime Badges
Each lifetime badge displays two numbers:
- Smaller number: Represents the total number of milestones achieved for that activity.
- Larger number: Represents the current milestone achieved.
As an example, a badge with a 20 (large number) and a 2 (small number) indicates that the client has earned the walking badges for 10-mile and 20-mile milestones. When the client achieves the next milestone at 30 miles, the badge will update to show a 30 (large number) and a 3 (small number), indicating they've reached three total milestones for walking.
Group notifications
The milestone badges will show up inside groups as auto-posted messages and will enable you to start planning a group challenge. Trainerize Groups give clients a big reason to open the app more often and remind them that they're not alone in their fitness journey. Social motivation (and maybe some healthy competition) can go a long way toward a client achieving their goals.

Achievements are awesome because they help keep your clients motivated and accountable to their fitness plans. They anchor their performance expectations to a higher standard and increase their confidence. Completing goals leads to personal satisfaction and encouragement to go that extra mile.
