Motivate Your Clients with Milestone Badges for Workouts and Achievements

The Trainerize app not only helps you deliver personalized workouts and training programs for your clients but also features new milestone badges to better monitor and keep them on track to achieving their goals.

These new achievements will be unlocked when completing specific milestones in the app. As clients complete more and more workouts, they will unlock a new badge! 


Milestone badges will be received with the below frequency:

For workout milestones, badges are earned as followed:

  • every 5 workouts up to 25
  • every 25 workouts up to 100
  • every 50 workouts up to 500
  • every 100 workouts up to 1000
  • every 200 workouts up to 2000
  • every 500 workouts up to 2000

For cardio activity milestones, badges are earned as followed: 

Time milestones

Calculated in hours (5,10, 15, 20, 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600, 1800, 2000, 2500, 3000…). They exist only for non-performance i.e. time based cardio activities, including stairclimber and general.


Note: On the watch, time can be tracked for all the cardio activities but the ones that have distance milestones, don't have time milestones. None of the cardio activities can have both time and distance milestones.

Distance milestones

Calculated in distance (km or miles) (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000...). They exist for distance based cardio activities (running, walking, cycling, elliptical and rowing). For running, walking, cycling and elliptical, kilometres and miles are used. For rowing, only meters & kilometres are used as units (e.g. 1st milestone will be 10 km instead of 10 mi).


Note: On the watch, distance can be tracked only for Running , Walking and Cycling (in watch only mode) so the distance milestone can be triggered only for them. Even though Elliptical and Rowing have distance milestones, their distance can't be tracked by the watch.



Where can you see the achievements

All the milestone badges your clients have unlocked are shown on their profile in a badge board, but you can easily check on them in the timeline, notification area or client dashboard.


The badge board consists of following sections and subsections:

  • Goals & habits
  • Workouts
    • Personal bests
    • Milestones
  • Activities
    • Personal bests
    • Lifetime badges


On mobile, trainers and clients can view the badge board from their dashboard under Recent Accomplishments or via the client's profile under Recently Earned Badges.


On web, you can find the badge board under the client's profile under the tab Badges Earned. 





Group notifications 

The milestone badges will show up inside groups as auto-posted messages and will enable you to start planning a group challenge. Trainerize Groups give clients a big reason to open the app more often and remind them that they're not alone in their fitness journey. Social motivation (and maybe some healthy competition) can go a long way toward a client achieving their goals.

Achievements are awesome because they help keep your clients motivated and accountable to their fitness plans. They anchor their performance expectations to a higher standard and increase their confidence. Completing goals leads to personal satisfaction and encouragement to go that extra mile.
