You can now streamline your booking process by syncing your personal Google Calendar to ABC Trainerize. This feature helps trainers manage availability by ensuring no conflicts between their personal calendar and ABC Trainerize bookings. This is a trainer-only feature and can only be set up through the web platform.
Please note that the steps listed in this article pertain to syncing your Google calendar to your ABC Trainerize calendar. To sync your ABC Trainerize appointments to your personal calendar, visit: How to Sync Appointments to your Calendar.
Steps to Sync Your Google Calendar to ABC Trainerize
1. On the web, navigate to the Scheduling tab from the left-hand menu and select Calendar Settings.
2. On the Calendar Settings page, click the blue Connect button under the Google Calendar tab.
3. Select your preferred Google account and sign in if prompted. Hit the blue Next button.
4. Click the Continue button then hit Allow to enable the calendar sync.
5. Once connected, select up to two calendars to sync from your Google account from the Google Calendar drop-down menu. Hit the blue Save button to sync.
Your Google Calendar events from your selected calendar(s) will now be visible within your ABC Trainerize Calendar.
Important Notes:
- These steps are a one-way sync from your Google Calendar to ABC Trainerize. This will not sync ABC Trainerize events to your Google calendar. To set that up, follow the steps listed in our help article here.
- It may take up to 5 minutes to carry over events from your personal calendar.
- Personal event details are kept private when synced over to ABC Trainerize, appearing as "busy."
Disconnect Google Calendar from ABC Trainerize
1. On the web, navigate to the Scheduling tab from the left-hand menu and select Calendar Settings.
2. On the Calendar Settings page, click the blue Disconnect button under the Google Calendar tab.
3. Select Disconnect to confirm.
Your Google Calendar events will no longer sync over ABC Trainerize.
Prioritizing Event Booking with Personal Calendar Sync
You can retain the convenient visibility of your personal calendar in ABC Trainerize without fully blocking off those time slots– making it easy to prioritize personal and work events in-app.
To allow the account owner, managers, and admin to book client sessions/events overtop of time slots when you have personal calendar events:
- On the web, navigate to the Scheduling tab from the left-hand menu and select Calendar Settings.
- Under the Google Calendar tab, check the tick-box next to Allow booking of events over personal time slots.
Note: This does not allow clients to self-book overtop of personal calendar events. Only the account owner and permitted trainer/staff roles can do so.
