Starting November 1, 2024, ABC Trainerize will begin collecting Value Added Tax (VAT) from our UK and Republic of Ireland customers in compliance with His Majesty's Revenue and Customs regulations (HMRC) in the UK, and the Office of the Revenue Commissioners (Revenue) in the Republic of Ireland. This article will explain the reasons for this change, what it means for you, and additional information you may find helpful.
Why is VAT Being Collected?
Both tax authorities legally require us to collect VAT for businesses operating in the United Kingdom and The Republic of Ireland. Having your VAT prepaid can also help you simplify and streamline your tax filing process at the end of the year.
What Does This Mean for You?
Effective October 31, 2024, a 20% VAT (UK) or 23% VAT (Republic of Ireland) will be added to your invoice. This means:
- Your base subscription pricing with ABC Trainerize will remain the same.
- The new total on your invoice will include the applicable taxes.
Additional Information
- The VAT collected by ABC Trainerize is remitted directly to the tax authority and you may qualify for a tax credit. Please speak with a tax professional for further information.
- The VAT collection is for your direct subscription with ABC Trainerize. ABC Trainerize will not be collecting VAT from your clients. We cannot advise on whether your services need to be taxed.
- We are unable to exempt any customers from the VAT collection.
