Upon initial setup of the Stripe integration, your Stripe email address, country, and currency are not subject to change. In the event that a change is required, the Account Owner will need to contact our Payments team to perform a reset of the Payments tab. This will allow you to restart the payment setup process from the beginning and connect to a new Stripe account if needed.
This article will guide you through what happens during a Payments Tab reset and the recommended steps to take beforehand.
What Happens When the Payments Tab is Reset?
When we reset your Payment tab, the following will occur:
- Deletion of all products, sales, invoices, transactions, disputes, and discount codes
- Expiration of all active and upcoming products
- Disconnection of current Stripe account from ABC Trainerize
- The dashboard created in your Stripe account will still exist
- The status of the dashboard and future payouts will still be governed by Stripe's policies
- Removal of client session credits
- Scheduled paid appointments will remain on client calendars
Steps to Take Before the Reset
To ensure a smooth transition, we recommend taking the following steps before your Payments tab is reset:
- Take screenshots: Capture images of your existing products and discount codes so you can easily recreate them after the reset
- Export data: Export data from the sales, invoices, transactions and disputes tab for your records.
- Consider current clients who have active products: Cancel any active products to ensure a smooth transition or consider Product End Automation and Membership Control settings to avoid any disruption of service for those clients.
Important Notes
- Only the Payments Tab will be affected by a reset. Your Master Libraries (including Programs, Workouts, Exercises, and Meals) and client programming will not be affected.
- When connecting to a new Stripe account, the account must not have been deleted and recreated using the same email address. Stripe will not allow account verification in this case.
