Starting July 1, 2024, ABC Trainerize began collecting Goods and Services Tax (GST) from our Australian customers in compliance with the Australian Tax Office (ATO) regulations. This article will explain the reasons for this change, what it means for you, and additional information you may find helpful.
Why is GST Being Collected?
Following the Australian Tax Office (ATO) regulations, we are required to collect Goods and Services Tax (GST) for businesses operating in the Australian region. This legal requirement ensures compliance with Australian tax and helps streamline the tax filing process for our customers. Having your ABN reflected in invoices can also simplify and facilitate your year-end tax filing.
What Does This Mean for You?
Effective July 1, 2024, a 10% GST rate will be added to your invoice. This means:
- Your base subscription pricing with ABC Trainerize will remain the same.
- The new total on your invoice will include the applicable GST.
Additional Information
- The GST collected by ABC Trainerize is remitted directly to the ATO.
- The GST collection is for your direct subscription with ABC Trainerize. ABC Trainerize will not be collecting GST from your clients. As we cannot advise on whether your services need to be taxed, you can find guidance on this here.
