Using Groups to Share Educational Content with Clients

Empower your clients with valuable knowledge about fitness, nutrition, habits and more by using Groups. Groups are a simple and effective way to organize and share educational material as part of your coaching experience. This article will share the best way to achieve this.
 

Creating Your Educational Content Groups

To create a group for sharing educational content:

1. Navigate to the Groups tab on your ABC Trainerize web account.
2. Create a new group by selecting the New button.
3. Choose your preferred icon and name the group (e.g., "Education" or "Learn about Nutrition").
4. Ensure to select 'Only Trainers' to restrict posting permissions to clients.
5. Click Add to create your new group,

Customize Group Settings:

Adjust your Group settings by selecting the three-dot icon next to the group name and selecting Settings.


 

Disable auto-posts to prevent client activity from appearing in the group feed.

Adding Educational Content to the Group

Once the group is created, you can add various types of educational content:

• Post Educational Materials: Upload PDF's, images, messages and links to third party websites like Youtube and Vimeo.
• Sequence Your Posts: The order of your posts will determine how clients consume the information, to consider posting them in the desired learning sequence.

Tip: Use a mix of formats to keep the content engaging and accessible!

Adding Existing and New Clients to the Group

You can add clients to your groups in a few different ways:

• Add Clients Manually: Select the Members tab on the top right-hand corner of the group page to add clients individually
• All Clients in Bulk: Add clients in bulk from the Clients tab
• Automate Client Addition: Automatically add clients as soon as they purchase a Product via Product Automation

Note: Clients added after the content in the group is posted will still be able to access everything you have shared.

How Your Clients Will Access the Group Content in the App

Clients can easily access group content, such as PDF's and files shared, directly from their ABC Trainerize app: 

1. Open the app and navigate to the dashboard.

2. Select the group to view shared materials.

3. Scroll through the content at their own pace.

Clients and trainers can view recently shared files (i.e. PDF's) by selecting the 'i' icon in the upper-right corner of their messages:

This allows clients easy access to files shared within a group, without having to scroll through the conversation to find them!
