We recognize the importance of being able to seamlessly integrate your Apple Health and Watch data with the ABC Trainerize platform to monitor your fitness progress. If you're experiencing issues with syncing or missing data, this guide will walk you through the most common troubleshooting steps.
For details on connecting to the ABC Trainerize Apple Watch App, tracking a workout/cardio activity on the app, or what data syncs from Apple Health, please refer to our other Apple Watch articles.
Common Troubleshooting Steps
1. Verify Permission Settings
Ensure that ABC Trainerize has the necessary permissions to access your Apple Health Data.
- Open the Apple Health app on your iPhone.
- Tap Sharing at the bottom of the screen.
- Select Apps.
- Tap the ABC Trainerize Fitness App
- Ensure all toggles for Read and Write Permissions are enabled.
If any permissions are disabled for either Read Permissions or Write Permissions, enable them and return to the ABC Trainerize app to test syncing again.
2. Refresh Data Sync
Manually refreshing the connection can often resolve syncing delays.
- Open the ABC Trainerize app and tap your Profile picture in the top-left corner.
- Scroll down to Apple Health, and manually sync your data by pressing the "Sync now" button if it is available.
Allow for a few moments for the sync to complete, then check if your data has been updated.
3. Update Your Apps
- Ensure you have the latest versions of both the Apple Health app and ABC Trainerize apps.
- Check for any available updates in the app store and install them if necessary.
Disconnecting the Integration
If the above steps don't resolve the issue, follow the steps below to disconnect and then reconnect your Apple Health integration:
- Disconnect the integration by first turning off all permissions from Apple Health to ABC Trainerize.
- To do so, navigate to the iOS Health app and click your Profile icon in the top right corner.
- Under Privacy, select Apps and Services > ABC Trainerize Fitness App.
-
Tap Turn Off All to remove permissions.
Next, delete and reinstall both the ABC Trainerize app and the ABC Trainerize Watch app.
- To delete the ABC Trainerize app from your watch, navigate to the iOS Watch app on your mobile device and scroll to find Fitness App. Turn off the "Show on Apple Watch" toggle.
- After uninstalling and reinstalling both apps, proceed to the next step to reconnect the integration.
Reconnecting the Integration
After reinstalling, reconnect the Apple Health integration within the ABC Trainerize app.
- Open the ABC Trainerize app.
- Tap your Profile Photo in the top left corner.
- Scroll down to Apple Health.
- Tap Open Health App.
- Tap Turn All Categories On (Both Read and Write Toggles) and hit Allow at the bottom.
- You will be taken back to the Connect page and receive a confirmation that the integration has been successfully connected and synced the past week of data.
Apple Health and iPads
The Apple Health and Apple Watch integration are not available with the ABC Trainerize app on iPad. The integration is only available on Apple iPhone devices.
