In this article, we will cover the guidelines for submitting articles to the ABC Trainerize.me blog!
Authors can submit up to a maximum of four articles per month. If you submit more than four, they will be reviewed in the following months with the same cadence (4 per month).
Due to a high volume of article submissions, it may take up to 20 business days to have your articles reviewed and published.
To check if your article has been published, please visit https://www.trainerize.me/articles/. If your article has been rejected, you will receive an email with recommendations for edits or with feedback to apply for future submissions.
Article Guidelines
Please submit content that is educational and of common interest to potential coaching clients (something that a client would search on Google or ask ChatGPT, for example). You can choose from one of five categories to write about:
- Lifestyle
- Exercise
- Nutrition
- Wellness
- Trainers
Please avoid promotional stories or personal stories that are not linked to the topic or do not fall into one of the mentioned categories. Your own personal coaching story is a great piece of content you could use to update your Trainerize.me profile section, but it is not suitable for the blog.
Standards
You must submit original content that you have written to be published on the ABC Trainerize.me blog only. Pasting something from your existing blog or social media channels, or taking content from other websites is not allowed (your profile and our website will be penalized by search engines). If you break this rule, the article in question will be removed, and you will not be approved for submitting articles again.
In continuation of the above, copy-pasting AI-generated content is not allowed. Our goal is to publish valuable original content based on your expertise, personality, and coaching experience that would help potential or existing clients learn from you, as opposed to submitting AI-generated content.
This is not a place to just submit a blank article with a link to your existing website or blog. It will not get approved for publishing.
Edits
If necessary, our content team will make minor edits (corrections of typos, missing punctuation, etc.), change the title of your article, add headings and high-quality images, and link back to other blog content (for SEO purposes).
If the article is found to have major issues in readability or formatting or seems unfinished, the author will be contacted directly to update & improve. Our content team does not provide stylistic or structural editing.
We reserve the right to deny publication and/or request rewrites on any articles that do not meet a baseline level of quality in terms of writing and structure. This right also extends to articles containing content we deem offensive, inappropriate, unrelated to the five categories listed above, or published elsewhere.
Best Practices
- All articles must be written in English at this time. Articles in other languages will not be accepted.
- Article titles should be no longer than 70 characters. Please include your main topic / keyword in the title. Try to choose a title that shows the reader what they will learn.
- Articles should have between 300 and 1000 words. This is the ideal length for search engines. If an article is longer, please split it into two or more articles.
- Do not include emojis in the articles.
- Avoid big blocks of text. Break them into paragraphs and add subheadings – they will increase your readability score.
- Best practice is to use short sentences and transition words such as: On one hand… / On the other hand… / However…/ Additionally… / In conclusion… etc.
- Please include all content directly in the article; do not link to documents or attach Word or PDF documents.
- When including hyperlinks in your article, always use a secure URL (use “https://” instead of http://)
- Do not include any affiliate links in the articles, as we need to remove them due to our terms and conditions. You can include links to your own programs listed on your ABC TZ.me profile.
- If you can provide high-quality, royalty-free images to go along with your article, great! If not, please do not steal images from any websites. Our content team will add some.
Review Process
Once you submit your article, it will be locked for editing, and you will no longer have access to it—so make sure your article is final before you press submit! It will then be reviewed by our content team and you will be notified if it cannot be published.
