Syncing your client's MyFitnessPal account to ABC Trainerize is a powerful way to help clients stay on track and optimize their nutrition, supporting their journey toward their fitness goals.
In this article, we will walk through the steps to connect a MyFitnessPal account to ABC Trainerize.
Important Update: As of October 30, 2025, our integration with MyFitnessPal has been updated.
If you or your clients notice that MyFitnessPal meal details in Trainerize are blank, please direct clients to disconnect and reconnect their integration, and re-authorize data sharing. This step is required to ensure all meal diary details sync over to ABC Trainerize.
How to Refresh your MyFitnessPal Account
Clients will see an in-app notification prompting them to refresh the app in order to access the MyFitnessPal insights in the nutrition centre:
How to Connect a MyFitnessPal Account
Step 1: Connect Trainerize and MyFitnessPal
- Open your Trainerize app and click on the 3-dot menu > MyFitnessPal > Connect.
Step 2: Log in with your MyFitnessPal USERNAME
- Please use your MyFitnessPal USERNAME to authenticate your account to ensure you are connecting the correct account
- Your username can be found on the MyFitnessPal mobile app by clicking on the More tab, as shown below. Your MFP username will be at the top of the screen.
Step 3: Authorize the Connection
- To authorize the connection, please click on Authorize > Done.
You can now enjoy viewing your MyFitnessPal meal log data in ABC Trainerize!
What Data Syncs Between MyFitnessPal and ABC Trainerize?
- Caloric Intake, Macro Intake, and Meal information.
- The MyFitnessPal integration will not sync any other data (i.e. workouts, water intake, etc) into ABC Trainerize.
