This step-by-step guide will walk you through how to set up a Shared Zap in ABC Trainerize. In this article, we have used the Trainerize to Hellosign (Dropbox Sign) Shared Zap as an example to outline the steps. All of our Shared Zaps will follow similar steps to those outlined below.

Step 1- Choose Your Shared Zap
On your ABC Trainerize web account, navigate to the Add-ons > Zapier App Automation section and select the Shared Zap you want to use. In this example, we will be using the Shared Zap of requesting signatures using HelloSign (now Dropbox Sign) for new Trainerize clients. Select Use this workflow.
Step 2- Log into Zapier/Create an Account
A window will pop up prompting you to log into your existing Zapier account or create a new account if you do not already have one.
Step 3- Set up the Trigger
The Zap builder will now appear. Each Trigger/Action typically has a Setup step and a Testing step.
Within the Trigger Setup step:
- Select ABC Trainerize from the list of app connections.
- Select the trigger event that will start the workflow. In this example, the trigger event is auto-selected to New Clients since this is a pre-built Shared Zap.
- If not already connected, you will need to sign in and authenticate your ABC Trainerize owner account.
- Click Continue.
Step 4- Test the Trigger
To confirm your trigger is set up correctly, you will need to test the trigger:
- Select Test Trigger.
- One or more records will appear. Click Continue with selected record.
Step 5- Set up the Action
Under the Action Setup tab:
- Select the app from the list of app connections. In this example, the app is auto-selected to Dropbox Sign since this is a pre-built Shared Zap.
- Select the action event. In this example, the action event is auto-filled to Send Signature Request from Template.
- Sign in to the connected app and click Continue.
Step 6- Configure Action
In the Configure tab, you will need to enter additional information about the action:
- In this example, the Configure tab requires the selection of a template and/or additional fields from Hellosign (Dropbox Sign).
Step 7- Test the Action
To confirm your action is set up correctly, you will need to test the action by selecting Test Step.
Step 8- Publish Zap
- Upon successful testing, you can now publish your Zap!
- Once published, the zap will start running automatically. In this example, this means that when a new client is added to ABC Trainerize, an email will be sent via HelloSign (Dropbox Sign) requesting a signature.
