ABC Trainerize allows you to create a custom exercise library by importing videos from your own Youtube channel. You can import videos individually from the Master Exercise Library or use the Batch Import to add multiple videos from Youtube at once.
Requirements for Youtube Batch Import
In order for to batch import videos from your Youtube account, please ensure the following requirements are met:
- Videos must be hosted on your own Youtube channel
- Videos must be set to Public or Unlisted. Private Youtube videos are not supported.
- Your Youtube account must allow embedding.
You can also turn off advertisements to avoid interruptions within the Trainerize mobile app:
Step 1: Connect Your YouTube account
- Log on to your ABC Trainerize web account and navigate to the Add-ons > Integrations section.
- Scroll down to Video Hosting.
- Under the Youtube section, select Connect To Your Account.
Step 2: Batch Import Videos from Youtube
Once your Youtube account is connected, you can sync your Youtube videos to ABC Trainerize:
- Click Import Youtube Videos.
- Select the videos from Youtube you want to import.
- Edit the names of the videos from the Master Exercise Library and add text for the exercise descriptions.
After the batch import, you can always continue to re-import if you wish to update the videos linked with exercises.
Troubleshooting FAQ
I'm having trouble with the videos not playing. What can I do?
If videos fail to load, ensure the permissions on your YouTube account are set to allow for embedding.
- To do this, open your YouTube Creator Studio and navigate to your Youtube Videos.
- Next, check the boxes beside the videos you would like to use in Trainerize.
- Click the Edit button, then Embedding.
- Ensure the Enedding option is set to "On".
I get the error message "This Video is Unavailable" after uploading.
This error message typically means that the visibility of your videos is not set to "Public" or "Unlisted" on your YouTube Account.
- Open your YouTube Creator Studio and navigate to your Youtube Videos.
- Next, check the boxes beside the videos you would like to use in Trainerize.
- Click the Edit button, then Visibility.
- Set the videos to Public or Unlisted.
