Once you have created your products, it's time to go live and start accepting payments from clients. ABC Trainerize uses Stripe as its integrated payment gateway.
Start Set Up in ABC Trainerize
- On your ABC Trainerize web account, navigate to the Payments tab on the left.
- Select Setup from the menu. Click Sign up and Connect under the Stripe section.
- If you haven't purchased the Stripe Integrated Payments add-on yet, you will be prompted to check out before you can complete your setup. Learn more about pricing for the Stripe Integrated Payments add-on here.
Set Up Your Stripe Account
After selecting Sign Up and Connect, you will be redirected to Stripe to create or connect your account.
Note: If you have an existing Stripe account, you can enter the account email here. When you connect an existing Stripe account to ABC Trainerize, a new dashboard will be created and linked to your ABC Trainerize payments. The new dashboard will not impact your Stripe subscriptions with other providers.
On the Bank Account Information screen, provide bank account details for where to deposit your money.
On the Customer Statement Information screen, fill in your descriptors:
- Statement Descriptor: Choose the descriptor that will appear on your clients' credit card statements
- Shortened Descriptor: Provided a shortened descriptor of your business name in the event you would like to add dynamic suffixes to provide more description of a purchase. The description will include the suffix and shortened description.
- On the Verification Summary screen, confirm your information and click Submit.
Your Stripe account will now be pending verification. Once it has been approved, you will be able to accept live payments.
Understanding Payment Processing Statuses
After submitting your Stripe setup, your payment processing will go through one of the following status flows:
- Not Live: Payments cannot be processed and you will not be able to sell products.
- Live- Verification Required: You can process transactions, but payouts are paused until you provide additional required fields. While in the Live: Verification Required state, if you wait more than 7 days to verify your account, your payment processing may be paused (the Live status will change to orange). To fix this, provide the additional fields required.
- Live- Pending Approval: Providing additional verification information will change your account to this status. This means Stripe is verifying the added information. No further action is required on your part. While awaiting final verification, you can continue to process payments and sell products to clients, and payouts will begin.

Live: Once Stripe has fully verified your account, your status will change to live. The payment setup process is complete.
Additional Stripe Verification (If Required)
After setting up your integrated payments, Stripe may require extra verification depending on your location. If so, you will be notified within Stripe via an in-app banner. Follow the prompts within Stripe to submit the required details to avoid payout delays.
