Where are the settings for the email notifications and auto messages and events?

You can control how many emails you (the trainer) receive from Trainerize and also how many emails your clients are automatically sent. By adjusting Notifications you control which types of emails you receive, and by adjusting Auto Messages and Events you control which types of emails your clients receive.

To make changes to either of these:

  • Login to your Trainerize web account
  • Click on "My Account" in the bottom left hand corner
  • From the My Account menu click on "Notifications"

Changing Notifications (which types of emails you receive)

Within Notifications you can decide whether you want to receive emails with the following:

  • New messages in your inbox: You'll receive an email when you get a new message in your Trainerize inbox
  • Daily client summary: You'll receive a daily snapshot of your clients' activities
  • Weekly client needing attention summary: You'll receive a weekly list of clients that need attention
  • Product updates and business growth resources: You'll receive notification to stay updated with our latest upgrades and features, fitness business resources and special offers.

To receive emails from each category, check the box. To stop receiving emails, uncheck the box, then click "Save".

Auto Messages and Events (which types of emails clients receive) 

To make changes to either of these:

  • Login to your Trainerize web account
  • Click on "My Account" in the bottom left hand corner
  • From the My Account menu click on "Auto Messages and Events"

Within the Auto Messages and Events menu you can decide whether you want clients to be sent emails with the following:

When a new client is added:

  • Send Customized Welcome Email: This is optional and can automatically send out a fully customized welcome email with the option of attaching PDF documents (up to 4 PDF documents can be attached (suggested use: PARQ, waivers etc.).
    Please note: the maximum file size for the attachments is 3 MB.

When a client clicks the setup link in the invitation e-mail:

  • Send Consultation Form: This electronic form helps you gather workout habits, experience and other questions not covered in a PARQ form. Answers are saved in the consultation section of a client's profile.

Automated In-app Messages:

By default these emails are set to "On" with pre-written messages. To stop sending these emails, set the switch option to "Off". 

  • On first sign in: 
    Hi {firstName},
    Congrats on setting up your account! Have a look at your training program. You'll be notified each time I update your program.
    Tap here to access your messages and reach me anytime!

  • 3rd day after first sign in: 
    Hi {firstName},
    Have you connected your favourite apps and add-ons like Fitbit, MyFitnessPal, Withings, and your social media profiles? You can find these in your Settings.
    Let me know if you have questions!

  • 7th day after first sign in:
    Just wanted to check in to see how you're finding your workouts? Let know if you're having any issues!

  • 14th day after first sign in:
    I hope you're enjoying your workouts! Please let me know if you want to change anything, if you find any of the exercises difficult or hard to understand. You can always leave me notes in the app, too.

  • Client completes first workout:
    Congrats {firstName}!
    You’ve just completed your first workout.
    You’re well on your way to getting into tip top shape. Keep up the good work!

  • Client tracks first meal:
    Hi {firstName},
    Congrats on tracking your first meal! I’ll be checking in from time to time to see how you’re doing with your meal plan.
    Keep it up!

  • Client's birthday:
    Hi {firstName},
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
    You can take the day off. :)

  • 1st day of training phase:
    Hi {firstName},
    Today is the first day of your new training program!

    You can start by uploading progress photos for comparing body changes later. Don't worry–these are private between you and me. You can schedule these, as well as your body stats check-in monthly.

    Check-in and or track your workouts from the app! We'll let you know when you've hit a personal best.

    Any questions? I'll be monitoring your progress online, but feel free to message me through the app anytime.

  • Last day of last training phase:
    Congrats {firstName}!
    See how you did! Let’s take a final check-in to review your fitness progress.
    - Upload your final photos to see how your body has changed.
    - Add your final body measurements.
    - Review your personal bests. Are you lifting more, or running faster?
