We've outlined the steps you can take to view your client's full meal details below– thank you for your patience while we work with MyFitnessPal toward a permanent solution.
Access MyFitnessPal from a client's Nutrition Details page (Web):
- Select a client > Open their client profile > On the client's profile click their nutrition goal under the "To Do Today" dashboard > This will bring up a pop-up featuring a client's nutrition tracking data.
- When viewing your client's nutrition tracking data, click the "Open MFP" blue text to go directly to MyFitnessPal.
Alternatively, you can also use the below URL for quick access to their profile from this article.
- Replace the bolded end of the below URL with your client's MyFitnessPal Username. (Replace: ClientID)
Note: To view your client's MyFitnessPal meal diary, it must be set to public. It is likely already set to public, but if not we have provided copy-paste instructions for your client at the end of this article).
Access MyFitnessPal from a client's Nutrition Details page (Mobile):
- Select a client on mobile > Open their client profile > Tap the nutrition bars on their "To-do Today" dashboard > Select Diary

When viewing their diary > Hit the blue "Open to client's MFP" text to go directly to MyFitnessPal.
Note: To view your client's MyFitnessPal meal diary, it must be set to public. It is likely already set to public, but if not we have provided copy-paste instructions for your client at the end of this article).
To keep track of multiple clients' nutrition data and to keep your nutrition monitoring organized– we recommend adding clients as friends on MyFitenssPal. (next steps)
Add your Client as a Friend on MyFitnessPal:
To add your client as a friend and view their full diary on MyFitnessPal– send them an invite by searching for them using their email address or their MyFitnessPal Username.
Note: Ensure that you are searching for your clients using the email address that they used when signing up for MyFitnessPal.

Log into your account on MyFitnessPal > Select the Community tab > This will take you to the Community page.

On the Community page > Select Find Members >

Type in your Client’s Email or Username into the text field > and hit Search
- Your client's profile will appear (as long as the email or username is correct) > Hit the Add As Friend button.
What can I see on MyFitnessPal? Viewing Client's Meal Details and Diary Data on the Web:
- All meal diary data, including food calorie breakdown as well as macro and micro-nutrients, are viewable on the web. (see example below)
What can I see on MyFitnessPal? Viewing Client's Meal Details and Diary Data on Mobile:
- On the mobile app, you can only view the breakdown of food calories–additional information such as macro and micronutrient breakdowns are only available on mobile with a premium MyFitnessPal Account.
Troubleshooting: What if my client's diary isn't set to public?
If your client has not set their diary settings to public– we went ahead and put together walk-through instructions (that you can send directly to your clients) on how they can do so.
Clients can set their diary-sharing settings to Public through their MyFitnessPal account on the web.
Client Instructions:

Log into your MyFitnessPal account on the web > Once logged in, you will be on the Homepage > click the Settings Tab > Select Diary Settings from the listed options (see below)

Scroll down to the bottom of the webpage > Set Diary Sharing to Public > Hit Save Changes (see below)
